PIMD Golden 50th Anniversary Celebration 
Raffle
The purpose of this yearlong raffle is to raise awareness of our division activities, to encourage participation (especially of members who may not have entered before) in all of our divisionwide tournaments and coaching events, to publicize the benefits of participation in lawn bowling, and to celebrate the support and enthusiasm of ALL of our bowlers over the past 50 years as our very own division of BowlsUSA!!
How it works
Tickets can be earned by:
***Participating in a PIMD sponsored tournament
***Participating in a BowlsUSA tournament held in PIMD (playdowns)
***Participating in designated club sponsored Invitationals that are open to all PIMD bowlers:
Centennial (SF), Ed Arnold (PA), Paul Edlund Fiesta (Oakland), Jamboree (Berkeley), and perhaps others TBD (SJ? Fresno? Carmel? Leisure Town? Rossmoor? Sunnyvale?)
***Winning the “Happy birthday balloon” at one ofthe 13 scheduled PIMD tournaments
***Participating in a club or divisionwide coaching/skills event put on by our BUSA certified
coaches (because PIMD has sponsored a portion of the coaches’ training)
***Responding to an “EB Challenge Looking at the Laws” (more info to follow soon)
***Attending a PIMD Board meeting
Tickets can be purchased at “50” cents per ticket (limit $10 per person)
Funds generated by ticket purchases will be turned in to a 50/50 drawing for the final raffle, 50% as a raffle prize and 50% used to purchase various gift cards to add to the raffle collection.
Tickets will be handed out at each event. Individuals will be responsible to put their names on each ticket and to deposit the ticket into the designated collection container.
How prizes are won:
Gift card prizes worth $10 each will be pulled at each PIMD tournament, based on the number of participants:
1 - 20 participants One ticket pulled
21 - 40 participants Two tickets pulled
41+ participants Three tickets pulled
(Tickets pulled at each tournament will be added to the big yearlong collection.) At Closing Day, the prize list will be displayed. Tickets collected during the year will be pulled and matched to each prize in the order listed. This will happen during the morning bowling. Results available at lunch break. Need not be present to win at the final drawing.
Where do the prizes come from?
Drakes Pride USA, our Number 1 Donor is donating 50 - $50 Gift Certificates plus several Jacks.
We also have a handmade quilt, a $100 value Henselite bowls bag donated by Brian Studwell, a Trader Joe’s gift card and collectible bag, a bottle of “gold”medal winning wine from the recent SF competition, five $10 gift cards, paid dual membership fees at one of our clubs…..
We need our clubs, bowlers and friends to help us collect “50” prizes!!
Prizes can be bowling related, gift cards, gift certificates, themed baskets, membercrafted items…………………… What other good ideas do YOU have?
